Jazz Mood. New Sound

Two of my basic dreams: teleport and time machine. With the help of these two devices almost all the dreams can come true and all the obstacles can be destroyed. Even the philosopher's stone can become real if you have at least a time machine. Unfortunately now it's only a dream but there's something essential in this world, something with almost the same functions but its functions can work in your imagination not in reality. It is music.

К сожалению, пока это всего лишь мечты без какой-либо базы, но есть в этом мире нечто, функционирующее в похожем направлении, только с одной лишь разницей - функции эти возможны лишь в воображении, а не в реальности. Я говорю о музыке, способной перенести в любое пространство, время и измерение.

Today I want to speak about Jazz Age and its influence on women style, creative mood of generations and even emancipation. I'm talking about 1920's - the decade of growing freedom and perfect mix of function and impressive style.

Например, джаз автоматически переносит меня в 20-е годы ХХ века, и именно об этой декаде я и хочу сегодня поговорить, эпохе растущей свободы и идеального смешения функциональности и утонченного стиля.

1920's is for its elegant feminine silhouttes, dresses made of expensive materials, exquisite style and I will certainly write a detailed blog post about it later. But what I love most in this time is a struggle of women against their status quo, their transformation into strong but impressive and beautiful cretaures. I think, Marlene Dietrich is ideal illustration of these transformations.

1920-е годы привлекательны рафинированной элегантностью, утонченными силуэтами, экспрессивностью, экстравагантными шляпками (вспомните, к примеру, атмосферу "Великого Гэтсби"). Для меня эта декада - целая эра. Эра элегантности и исключительной красоты, и об этом времени я напишу детальный пост. Но более всего в этом времени для меня привлекательна борьба женщин со своим статусом кво, эмансипация, трансформация женщин в удивительно сильных, но все еще хрупких и женственных созданий. Идеальным примером того времени для меня является Марлен Дитрих.

As for me, I also prefer (more often) men shirts and suits when I choose the style of 1920's, although I really love trendy dresses of this time. I think, men clothes don't make us brutal and rude but make us even more feminine and strong at the same time. And when I have jazz mood I put on black hat, my hubby's shirt and, for example, leather leggings to make my outfit modern with rock notes. If I want to attract attention to the length of my legs and if I don't want them to look shorter I put on black wide leather belt - voila! The silhoutte is absolutely femine and proportional. 

Могу сказать, что выбирая тот или иной образ 20-х годов или джаз-образ, я скорее выберу монохромность, рубашкого мужского кроя, пиджак или жакет. Этот образ я дополнила кожаными леггинсами, что придаёт моему виду некоторую мятежность и современность. Кстати, мужская рубашка, по моему мнению, является идеальным сочетанием для кожаных брюк или леггинсов. Если вы боитесь визуального "укорачивания" ног, советую дополнять образ ремнями или поясами – это восстановит пропорции. 

The other element of my outfit is a jacket with leather elements. I must remark that leather jacket would "kill" all my jazz and monochromic look. 

Ещё одним важным элементом моего образа является жакет с кожаной баской. Следует заметить, что целиком кожаный жакет сделал бы мой образ утрированным.

Paradise for a coffee addict

Hello, my dearest readers and subscribers! Today I want to talk about my coffee experience. 

Well, it happened at last! I tried well known Skrab (coffee scrub). And I must tell you, it's fabulous treatment. I used to make it by myself but I've bought ready coffee product for the first time.

Let's talk about all the positive moments.

Pluses

• Your skin is extremely smooth and your face looks full of energy and life;

• If your skin peels off, use this scrub regularly and your problem will be solved. But don't forget about intensive skin nutrition, otherwise it will be damaged;

• Stretches on your body become less significant (actually I don't have them, it's only a famous fact);

• As a mom of a little baby girl I don't have enough of sleeping hours. So sometimes I am dissatisfied with my skin color. But with the help of scrub my skin looks more blushed;

• Smart body skin. It's too easy for me to lose weight, of course, there are some significant pluses in it but I should care about smartness of my skin. And coffee scrub is a great helper in this question; 

• Perfect smell for coffee lovers. Your bathroom, your body smell is not annoying but delicious.

Attention!

• If your skin is dry, there are some red spots on it, inflammation or acne, be careful! It can damage your skin;

• It's better for oily skin;

• Although there are great components in  scrub, don't forget to use cream for your skin type. 

You can make this scrub at home for yourself. 

Use some coffee, add sea salt, orange oil, almond oil and vitamin E if it's possible.

You'll get perfect mask! 

St. Valentine' OOTD

I guess, it happens very often that you see amazing outfit in a magazine but you understand that in a real life it would look too calling. Today I will help you to realize look with over knee boots and leopard printed coat and still look rather modest but sexy.

Сегодня мы с вами будем учиться балансировать, даже в том случае, если слагаемыми нашего образа являются ботфорты и хищный принт. 

Over knee boots 

First of all, you should remember that over knee boots never look calling if they are low heeled. The second point is that if you still want high heels forget about leopard print, mini red dress and everything of the same kind. Otherwise you would look like Vivian from "Pretty Woman". We love her, but her style became much better during the film, I'm sure you agree. 

Первое, что вы должны запомнить – ботфорты не выглядят вызывающими, если они на невысоком каблуке или без каблуков вообще. Это отличный вариант для тех, кто боится вульгарности этого предмета гардероба. Второе правило: если вы все же хотите ботфорты на высоких каблуках, то забудьте про сочетание с леопардовым принтом, глубоким декольте и экстремальным мини, если применяете вы это сочетание для повседневного образа. 

Leopard print 

Oh, relationships with this print are always complicated. If you still want to look elegant try to use unusual variations of this print: for example, the first variant seems almost grey because there are no too bright brown elements. The print of the second variant seems more geometrical, besides the silhouette of the coat is classy and elegant. 

О леопардовом принте слагают легенды, но он все равно зачастую оказывается в тренде. Если вы давно мечтаете о хищном принте, но боитесь, выбирайте нестандартные его вариации: иная цветовая гамма, как в первом варианте, не режет глаз и сливается практически в серое пальто – всё благодаря отсутствию кричащих жёлтых или коричневых оттенков. Принт во втором варианте более геометричен, чем стандартный "леопард". А женственный и элегантный силуэт делает это пальто идеальным даже для повседневной жизни. 

Red bag 

If you want to take a red bag when you put on a leopard coat, try dark red colors (burgundy, marsala, bordeaux) buy not scarlet or orange. 

As for the black dress you can use even the short one if you want, and your look will be romantic and sexy.

How to look stunning during pregnancy

To my mind, each pregnant woman is flawless and charming. Nowadays we forget that pregnancy is a miracle and for us it is something ordinary. Unless we see a pregnant woman looking stylish and bright. I want each pregnant woman to be satisfied with her look and reflection in mirror, no matter how big her bump is or how many lbs she gained. Go on reading, I will help you to arm yourself with powerful style tips.

Jeans 

A few days before my girl was born :p Well, the first thing I gave up during my 1 trimester were my old jeans. Although my weight was 45 kg, I felt they are not for the future 9 months because they were tight and it was not okay for my belly. So I bought skinny jeans because I was almost sure I will be thin after my baby's birth and even during my pregnancy. These jeans look perfect with blouses, tops, tunics. As for T-shirts, I didn't put them at that period. They would make your look simple and even sad. Besides, I love when bump "is hidden".  If you are gaining more than I did, you should buy flared jeans for pregnant women. Look at the picture below (taken from my Polyvore account, made by me). 

Flared jeans must not be to tight so even if you would lose many kg after giving a birth you would be able to wear them. Besides you can put on tunics or a poncho, so you would be extremely stylish. 

You can also try boyfriend jeans. If you are afraid to look boring, remember that your top must be feminine and and with unusual silhouette. Also combine different textures or prints. Wear it with a beautiful hat or a beanie. 

Men shirt 

It's a perfect idea, especially if your boyfriend is as slender as mine is :D 

You can put it on with jeans or shorts and you will feel comfortable and stylish. 

Shirt-dress

This type of dresses is ingenious! Especially for pregnant women (and for those who love to hide belly). It's possible to wear with narrow leather belt or without it, as a dress or with tight pants, and with any type of body. Folds and resemblance with men shirt will make your look so fragile and charming. If you don't have such a one but you want a dress, you should buy a dress of this type. 

Dress-robe

Another perfect thing for the women  waiting for their children. This dress is quite tight, it's my size, but my bump  fit well even when it was 9 months. Such a dress will take its place in your wardrobe and afterwards it will be perfect for long walk with your kid. 

By the way, look at this colors: it was  absolutely clear what my future kid's gender was :D

Dress with drapery

One of my favorite dress helped me to look beautiful even during my pregnancy. This is not a "balloon-dress", but it's got complicated drapery which hide any belly, besides it's ombre effect attracts attention to your breast but not your belly or hips (visually hips and belly can even look smaller). Take into account these tips when you choose your dress. 

(Silk) Overall

It's not made to be too tight, it's not made exactly for pregnant women. It's made to be weightless and spacious. Each woman would feel a real woman in such clothes. And afterwards you would feel the same and there will be no need to put it into a garbage or to wait for antother pregnancy. You wold certainly wear it with any body type.

2. No matter how big your bump is it would fit

3. Take in any color you like and you still look beautiful. 

Mantle Clothing 

Thanks to Bat Norton for creating such a stunning piece of art (yes, it's awesome). I had a dream to have a pilgrim's mantle and my hubby presented it to me during my pregnancy. I was always able to hide myself when it was cold, my bump fit and I still looked stylish and it suited me perfectly. Now I am again 45 kilograms and I am still in love with it.

The picture was taken 3 months later than my girl was born. Now I am waiting for spring to wear it again. Although I am even thinner now it still looks great. 

Well, I armed you with a lot of tips. Now a several "do not" and you will always be perfect. 

Do not 

• Do not wear tight T-shirts especially if your waist is not so thin now. No, it's not a crime, but you would look much more beautiful in tunics, blouses, dresses. T-shirts will make your outfit less charming than it could be. 

• Do not buy coats, jackets according to your bump's size. It would certainly take its place in garbage and would make you cry afterwards. You can buy a parka or a coat with spacious silhouette but not a classy coat in enormous size. 

• Do not buy clothes which seems ugly to you only because it's the only thing you fit in now. Seriously. It's better to spend the whole time in one beautiful dress than in many ugly clothes. 

• Do not buy those overalls for pregnant women. Very often they make women body not charming and not pretty at all. 

And remember that you are a piece of real beauty, especially now. The most important thing is your mood and your level of happiness.

Today I would like to speak about designers who impressed me most of all during Spring 2016 Couture in Paris. 

Ulyana Sergeenko

As always, Ulyana Sergeenko's collection is extremely feminine, fragile and flirty. In clothes by Ulyana a woman feels like a real impressive and extremely attractive. Lace, silk, tender colors, lace caps (can you imagine how touching it is), sexy silhouettes, even when we talk about pants made by her. You'll never think this item historically was taken from men wardrobe. To my mind, different items from this collection would look beautiful and lovely on each woman, no matter what her body type is (of course, I'm not talking about extreme mini, this length is good not for everyone). I also love shoes from this collection. They are absolutely remarkable. 

Alexander Vauthier

I feel something special when I look through the photos. It is like the designer looked at the items from my wardrobe and made something even much better :) Of course, it's just a joke but in this collection almost everything that I love was connected: high black boots, strict, even military coats and jackets, extreme mini, fresh colors and leather, white pants which attract attention to women hips. Well done! I'm totally in love ;-)

Alternative mood

Sometimes it's too hard for metal-lover and a gothic soul to keep oneself inside of strict borders. On days like these I make a decision to add something alternative to my outfit: leather leggings or a skirt, brutal boots or shoes on extremely high heels, dramatic makeup and even black lips. Today black lipstick is my choice. My outfit is dark, so I put on  orange boots in order to add something bright and extraordinary to my look. 

I also feel something special when I see high stockings with black lace. It's too fragile and got at the same time. 

Do not think that alternative girls have no time for reading. They are always eager to learn something new.

And what do you put on when you feel naughty? ;-p

Primavera

When there is no bloom outdoors, I create spring myself. I love minimalism and monochromic landscape but sometimes I get tired of it and need some color. For this makeup I used Chanel Le crayon Levres Donic Pink 70, pink eyeshadow from Lancôme palette 24H à Paris – Night, Guerlain Lingerie de Peau skin-fusion foundation. I try to make this total pink makeup not doll's makeup but something tender and romantic. And I think I coped with it :)

Waterfall of creation

I was always searching for myself, as they say. As for me, I create myself. Every second, every day. And one day I understood that I began to create myself in a right way. And I keep listening to myself and searching for a perfect road. Now I found a variant of relaxation and t's a type of creative activity at the same way. I'm talking about knitting. I love knitting standard things like hats, snoods and scarfs, and I also love creating something extraordinary like knitted headbands or necklaces. 

I also make Helsinki hats.

Guerlain vs. Yves Saint Laurent

I am a great lover and admirer of eylines. Sometimes I love them strict, sometimes I need deep smoky eyes and there are days when I need them to be like Cleopatra's eyelines. Maybe it's not quite alright but eyes without eylines and makeup seems naked to me :)) It could be balanced only by red or dark lips. 

I consider eye penciles, shadows and and felt-type eye markers to be great invention, especially for smoky eyes. But I still need classy liquid eyeliner to be in my beautician. And today I want to speak about my favorite ones. 

YSL Eyliner Baby doll liquid eyeliner (this photo is taken from the Internet, all the others are taken by me)

Ideal ,perfect eyeliner. It can help you in making eyelines of any type: classy or dramatic, thin or thick, natural or expressive. 

Pluses: 

+ thin and soft brush, it makes this eyeliner perfect for makeup of any type;

+ beautiful colors. Usually I use classy black eyeliner, because my eyes are dark brown, my eyebrows and eyelashes are black. But in this collection I love Chocolate Reflections. It's quite dark and attracts attention to the color of my eyes. It even makes my eyes and my eyesight deeper. Besides it looks quite natural and it is good for nude makeup;

+ long lasting effect. It is very important for a young mom like me, because you never know when your day begins and when the end of your day will take place;

+ you can take it with you anywhere, it's very comfortable.

Minuses:

– If you are a beginner in eyelining art  it will be difficult for you to draw a beautiful line. It's because of a very thin brush. I consider this eyeliner to be perfect for this who've got great skills in eyelining. 

Guerlain Eyliner Longue Tenue Bi-Phase 

Pluses:

+ Deep, rich black color. For those who love perfection, who are strict in choosing colors. My black eyeliner is NO DOUBT black and fatal;

+ It's easy to use, no matter if you are a beginner or a great artist of eyelining. 

+ The brush is soft and there's no need to push, you only need to make smooth lines;

+ Design of a tube. And again it's made for perfectionists, for those who don't need just eyelines but need some a makeup masterpiece. Long stunning cap and a tube made of Matt glass. 

Minuses:

– Although it's amazingly beautiful, the tube is not perfect. It's to easy to crash the cap. I must say that I didn't take a tube with me anywhere, it just took place in my beautician but it crashed. Next time I will try to keep it in its box, but not in my penal.

– If you make just one line but don't put two or three layers it will stay perfect for a long time (look at my photo, I even took a shower with these eyelines), but if there are more than one layer a few hours later the eyeline may "crash" and it will cover the area around your eyes with black spots. The same if you happen to be in the street during severe rain or snowfall. 

Well, this is my verdict: if you are a beginner take the 2nd variant, but be careful while taking it with you anywhere. If you are a master of eyelining take YSL. It's a dreamy eyeliner.

Snood for a real man

Well, I finished my snood. It's unisex, uniage and even unitype (human being or a teddy bear). 

Nevertheless, I presented it to my hubb. I tried to make it brutal and masculine 'cause my man is a real man. And I guess I coped with it :-) 

I must say the process is magical as any creative process is. I'm glad to be back in knitting and now I'm seriously in it amd there a lot of knitting projects in my head. Thanks for inspiration to my parents and to a month that I spent at their place. There are a lot of plots for different novels, art projects and knitting design are in my head. I read and re-read many fantastic books and came back to linguistics (my languages were reanimated). And of course, thanks to love of my life.

As white as snow

Snow has been falling in my city for almost 2 weeks already. It's extremely beautiful and magical both if you stroll or sit at home with a cup of coffee or cacao with marshmallows and an interesting book or a film. This weather inspired me to knit a woolen snood which is very cozy, warm and beautiful. I'll show it to you later. This weather also reminds me of some of my spring and summer total white looks. Although I like snowy winter, I miss hot summer a lot. Or at least I need warm spring. 

As you perhaps noticed I love extreme mini, shorts or very short skirts. Very often I put on sneakers but not high heels with them not to look too noticeable :-) Especially with super sexy pantyhose like this which imitates stockings. 

I also like combination of different grey print design on white. It always reminds me of marble.

So, you can see the combination/contradiction of such prints on my bag and on my hood.
